Privacy Policy

We collect the contact details you choose to share, like your name, email, and phone number, along with the photos and project notes you send us. We use them for one thing: to follow up about your countertops and help you plan the work.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside our shop except the services we use to operate the site and reach you. If you give us a phone number, we will call about your project. We will not text you unless you ask us to.

We keep your details only as long as we need them and store them securely. You can ask us to send you what we have or to delete it at any time. Just call or email and we will take care of it.

On our homepage we show a selection of our Google reviews, usually our best ones. The star rating and total review count next to them come straight from Google, not from us. You can read every review we have, good or bad, on our Google Business page.

Reviews come to us from Google, and we hold a copy of them on our own server so the shop can read and answer them in one place. That copy carries what Google shows publicly: the star rating, the words, the date, and the reviewer’s public name and profile photo. We do not add anything to it and we do not pass it to anybody else. If you left us a review and you would rather it not appear on this site, email us and we will take our copy down.

We use the Pinterest API. It does one job for us: it posts photos of our finished countertop projects to our own Pinterest business account, so somebody who finds our work there can click through to the project page on this site. Rocky Tops Granite & Marble is an independent countertop shop in Cayce, South Carolina. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or affiliated with Pinterest, this site is not a Pinterest product or service, and Pinterest is not responsible for anything here. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc., named here only so you know which service we mean.

Only our own business account is connected. We do not ask customers or site visitors to connect a Pinterest account, we never sign in as anybody else, and no other person’s Pinterest information reaches our systems. We do not read or collect other people’s profiles, boards, pins, or activity, and there is no Pinterest tag or tracking pixel anywhere on this site. Two things are stored on our own server: the access token for our business account, which nobody outside our team ever sees, and a short record of which of our own photos we already posted, holding the pin identifier Pinterest hands back and the date, so the same photo does not go up twice. Nothing else from Pinterest is kept.

Because no customer ever connects an account here, there is no customer connection to end. The connection that can end is ours. If we disconnect our Pinterest account, if Pinterest withdraws our access, or if we switch this feature off, we delete the stored access token and that posting record from our systems and stop posting. We keep nothing Pinterest gave us after that. Photos we already pinned stay on Pinterest under our own account until we delete them there, the same as any other pin.

We do not sell, resell, license, publish, or hand along Pinterest content or any Pinterest-derived data to any third party. We do not combine it with data from anywhere else, we do not use it to target advertising, and we do not build profiles of people with it. It has one purpose: posting our own project photos to our own boards, linked back to our own site.

We post the same kind of thing, our own photos and our own project write-ups, to Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Houzz. Some of that goes out through each platform’s own interface, and some through Buffer, the scheduling service we use. In every case it is our own business account, granted by somebody here.

We do not sell or pass along what those services return to us. When we disconnect one of them, or a platform withdraws our access, we delete the token we were holding and stop posting. We are not endorsed by or affiliated with Google, Meta, TikTok, Houzz, or Buffer, and their names appear here only to say who we work with.

A few plain-language basics. Any price or quote you see on the site or get from us is an estimate, not a final price, until we measure your space and confirm materials. Photos, renderings, and the visualizer are meant to give you a feel for a look and may not match the exact slab you end up with. If you send us a project request or your contact information, we may reach out about it.
